And if they stayed together, things could be all right. And Joanne had been the beacon of hope ever since. They worked hard. Together. She helped him to lose weight. Prepare for a better job and good grades in his post grads. He supported her through her exam weeks and family problems and all the social pressures she had to go through every single day. There were days where none of them could help each other. There were nights where they couldn't even talk or weeks when they couldn't see each other. Still, they believed in their love. And a better tomorrow. They knew they were not perfect. Flawed. With shady pasts that affected their presents and loved ones who were against most of their dreams and affections. And incapabilities in age and social restrictions that were against most of their plans. But there is something about imperfection that made it worth trying. Belief.
